Although there is film that is highly reflective, true one way mirrors don't actually exist. The reflection works only if the light on one side is brighter than the light on the other side. This means, the mirror effect will only appear on the side that is brightest. Once it is dark outside, and you turn on a light inside, the mirror effect reverses so that everyone outside can see in and you can no longer see out.
